Engine and Frame No.

Can anyone tell me if you can age a Wassell from its frame number. I know from the POG site that all Penton models can be aged this way but the frame number I have isn't in the same format.

The frame number is W2722MX and Sachs engine number 7317465 which is a 125/6b.

It would be interesting to find out what other Wassell bikes are still in existance in the UK. Please leave your engine and frame number if you own a Wassell.

Hello,
I recently bought a Tyran with frame number W2360 MX. I think it's a '72 but I'm not sure. It would be interesting to find out how the serial numbers were arranged to date the bikes. This bike is quite complete and still has two of the original number plates marked "Wassel" What I would like to find out if there is anyone who could reproduce the tank decals as my tank doesn't have them anymore. Also I have a dealer flyer for the Wassel Gazelle that states the company who made the forks was named MP. Who was MP?
Thanks,
Nick
