Here are a couple of images to follow on regarding my airbox. As far as I can remember we had a round cover plate which went over the airfilter. This is the part I'm looking for.

Antelope / Gazelle

Can anyone help in explaining the difference between a Wassell Antelope and a Wassell Gazelle please. Was one a trials version and the other motocross?

Tyran Photos

With the help of the search facility at the Penton Owners Group site I have come across some pretty good photos of a Tyran at the Clarionconst website. The Tyran is the equivalent American verion of the Wassell Antelope sold here in the UK.

Lots of Work

Plenty to do without even starting on the engine!

Engine and Frame No.

Can anyone tell me if you can age a Wassell from its frame number. I know from the POG site that all Penton models can be aged this way but the frame number I have isn't in the same format.

The frame number is W2722MX and Sachs engine number 7317465 which is a 125/6b.

Wassell rebuild

I've started a total rebuild of a Wassell motorbike with a Sachs 125/6b engine in it and thought my experiences might help any one else who might be thinking of undertaking a similar task. Or perhaps you have already gone through a rebuild and could provide helpful information for others.

I've had a good look around the internet for other sites. The best I've come across so far is the Penton Owners Group (POG) http://www.pentonusa.org They have been very friendly and helpful every time I have posted a question on their message board.

If you know of any other sites or you have the name of suppliers (uk if possible) for hard to find spares please let me know.
